CAGI to Chair Opening Conference Session at Best Practices 2024 EXPO & Conference

06/18/2024

The Compressed Air & Gas Institute (CAGI) will produce the opening Conference Session 1 at the Best Practices 2024 EXPO & Conference taking place Oct. 29-31 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. The Conference is devoted to sustainable, safe and reliable on-site utilities powering automation including compressed air, vacuum, chilled water and more.

CAGI will kick off the Best Practices 2024 EXPO & Conference with an education seminar featuring case studies focused on maximizing compressed air efficiency.

The two-hour session, titled CAGI Education Seminar – Case Studies In Maximizing Compressed Air Efficiency, will kick off the multi-day Conference Track 1: On-site Utility Sustainability – Energy & Cooling Water Conservation on Oct. 29 from 8 to 10 a.m.

The seminar will be chaired by Chad Larrabee, Education Committee Chair for CAGI. Chad Larrabee is the Vice President, Tendering, Project and Product Management, for Ingersoll Rand – North America Compression Systems and Services. The speakers and curriculum for Session 1 include:

  • Redesigning Greenfield Site Systems to Meet True Demand – Neil Mehltretter, Technical Director, Kaeser Compressors

Learn about two greenfield projects where the demands were much lower than expected and what solutions were considered to address what the industry refers to as “oversizing.”

  • Improving Energy Efficiency in Systems with Multiple Centrifugal Air Compressors – Mark Krisa, Strategic Account Manager, Ingersoll Rand

Review the analysis and corrective actions implemented for two compressed air systems consisting of multiple centrifugal compressors. The case studies covered will explain the original state of the system and post implementation results using collected data.

  • Multi-Plant Campus Supply & Demand System Optimizations – Frank Moskowitz, AIRScan Expert, Atlas Copco Compressors

Discover the solutions that were implemented to stabilize operating pressure, improve reliability and reduce the compressed air system’s carbon footprint at a multi-building manufacturing campus.

  • Blower Technologies: Reducing Noise Emissions in a Bulk Process Facility and Optimizing Efficiency in a Wastewater Plant – Jason Costigan, Director of Product Management, Gardner Denver

Learn about design solutions to reduce noise levels at a bulk process facility as well as the different types of blower technology required for efficient turndown in wastewater applications.

“It’s an honor to have CAGI start off the Best Practices 2024 EXPO & Conference with an education seminar featuring a variety of case studies. This organization serves as the united voice of the compressed air industry and is made up of the leading global manufacturers of air compressors,” said Rod Smith, Publisher at Best Practices Magazines & EXPO. “We greatly appreciate its continued support of this event. The brand agnostic, expert presentations it’s bringing to the Conference will provide a wealth of learning opportunities and best practices to our guests.”

In addition to learning from CAGI’s education seminar, the organization will offer the Certified Compressed Air System Specialist Exam during the event at a reduced price of $275.

Attendees can choose between several ticket options for the Conference and EXPO – the Full Conference Pass, a Single Day Conference Pass or the EXPO Hall Pass. Click here to register now to secure super early bird rates.

The Best Practices 2024 EXPO & Conference is co-sponsored by the Compressed Air & Gas Institute and the Cooling Technology Institute.
