This year’s keynote speaker is Laura Lemons, Director of the Administrator Services Center, Eli Lilly and Company. Attendees will enjoy a buffet breakfast, network with fellow professionals and hear Lemons share insights from her three-decade career leading a global team of 34 professionals.

As a cancer survivor and patient advocate, she brings a powerful perspective on building bridges for the women who follow. Her keynote, “From Exception to Expectation: How Women Are Rewriting What Leadership Looks Like,” explores how women shift from being exceptions in leadership to becoming the expectation through deliberate, everyday choices to stay visible, speak up, mentor others and refuse to shrink to fit spaces not designed for them.

"The vision isn't a world where a woman in a leadership role is a big deal. It's a world where it simply isn't. Where 'all girls' at the top doesn't feel exceptional – it just feels like a Tuesday," said Lemons.

The WCVC networking breakfast is sponsored by Hitachi and Flow Control Group.

The Best Practices 2026 EXPO & Conference runs Oct. 13-15 at the Indiana Convention Center. At the event, attendees will learn how to save energy and water, increase uptime and reduce product rejects. Educational sessions are led by industry experts, with hands-on workshops, certification opportunities and networking. Attendees can earn up to 12 PDHs.
