Nidec Global Appliance (GA), a business platform of Nidec and owner of the Embraco HVACR solutions brand, announced Ricardo Bristotti as its new president. The executive takes on the leadership to drive the next phase of growth and strengthen GA’s global portfolio.

For the last 15 years, Bristotti has built a career spanning both the appliance and industrial segments, starting in 2011 at Embraco (acquired by Nidec in 2019). Since then, he has worked in multiple areas, including strategic planning, supply chain and business and marketing, culminating in his appointment as Vice President of the home appliances segment in 2021. In 2023, he transitioned to the Commercial & Industrial platform, serving as Business Segment Leader for the European and Asian perimeters, expanding his expertise into large-scale industrial motors.
“I’m very glad to return to the Global Appliance platform, bringing a broader vision of Nidec. As President, my focus will be on accelerating growth in both the commercial refrigeration and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning segments, while continuing to strengthen the market presence of our portfolio for residential, food service, medical and industrial applications,” said Bristotti.
Bristotti’s journey combines technical expertise and business management experience in international environments. He now returns to lead the next stage of GA's global strategy, strengthening innovation, customer proximity and the competitiveness of the existing product brands and its solutions portfolio.
“We have a solid portfolio and highly skilled teams to respond to the industry's current deep transformations. Our focus will be to further expand what we do best: develop technologies and innovations to create solutions that help our customers deliver more energy efficiency, reliability and sustainability to the market,” said Bristotti.
Bristotti holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a specialization in project management from George Washington University.
