OBR Cooling Towers announced a gradual transition to the parent name OBR Companies, a move designed to better represent the organization’s expanding services for industrial and commercial facilities.

For more than 30 years, OBR Cooling Towers has supported customers with cooling tower service, repair, rebuild, construction, inspections, parts and field expertise. This name is not going away. OBR Cooling Towers will remain a core part of the organization and continue to represent the company’s cooling tower heritage and customer relationships.
The transition to OBR Companies gives customers a clearer view of the broader capabilities now available across the organization. Over the past decade, the organization has expanded beyond traditional cooling tower work into cooling technologies, industrial services, water equipment support, parts and supply, freight coordination and specialty facility services.
OBR Companies is now organized around three primary service groups. OBR Cooling Technologies includes cooling towers, heat exchangers, dry cooling systems, adiabatic systems, industrial refrigeration, HVAC coils, fin-and-tube equipment and related cooling assets. OBR Industrial Solutions includes coatings, walking and working surfaces, service platforms, safety equipment, vibration diagnostics, pumps, piping, mechanical services and field labor. OBR Water Services includes reverse osmosis systems, water softeners, filtration systems, clarifiers, dissolved-air flotation equipment and other commercial and industrial water-treatment equipment. These groups are supported by expanded parts, supply, fabrication and logistics capabilities, including Platform Freight.
One example of the expanded service portfolio is OBR CoilCare™, a professional coil cleaning program for commercial and industrial cooling and heating systems. CoilCare helps facilities remove buildup from finned coils, support cleaner coil condition, improve heat transfer performance and protect HVAC and cooling equipment through proactive maintenance and documentation.
“OBR Companies gives us a better way to communicate the full range of services we can now provide,” said Phil Poll, CEO, OBR Companies. “Cooling towers remain at the foundation of our business, but our customers operate complex facilities with many connected maintenance, reliability, cooling, heating, water and infrastructure needs. CoilCare is a good example of that expansion.”
The recent acquisition of AMC Services also expands the organization’s specialty facility service capabilities, including air-handler cleaning and disinfection, domestic water tank cleaning, commercial ice-machine cleaning and related services.
With more than 450 experienced field professionals supported by engineering, project management, safety, supply, fabrication and logistics resources, OBR Companies can provide supplemental field labor, specialized technical services, equipment and materials or complete turnkey project execution.
The transition will take place gradually, beginning with LinkedIn and selected communications, followed by phased updates to websites, marketing materials, proposals, workwear, signage and other customer-facing assets over time. Existing customer contacts, contracts, commitments, billing instructions and service relationships are not changing as part of the initial marketing transition.
