Peak+, a developer and manufacturer of precision adiabatic pre-cooling technologies enhancing air-cooled condenser performance and operational reliability, launched the Peak+ CORE™ pre-cooling system. This new system integrates directly into air-cooled chillers and other air-cooled equipment and supports factory installation.

Higher power densities in data center campuses mean greater challenges for facility heat rejection, as evidenced by increasingly common failures of external CFDs. The CORE system is specifically designed for high-temperature environments, where it is critical to suppress condenser entering air temperatures (CEAT) to the chiller system design temperature, or below, to avoid chiller performance derate.
As with all of the company’s adiabatic pre-cooling systems, CORE can achieve and maintain a specific targeted cooled dry bulb CEAT, enabling operators to minimize water use.
“Data centers of all sizes are facing the same pressures: more heat, higher opportunity costs of misused energy and increasing focus on water stewardship,” said Chris Curry, CEO, Peak+. “The Peak+ CORE system is what the market has been asking for – factory-installable, precise and robust adiabatic pre-cooling – whether that is a new construction project or an existing facility looking to upgrade.”
The CORE system is designed to meet the needs of air-cooled chiller OEMs and data center operators and can be installed at the OEM factory or at off-site pre-fab facilities, minimizing on-site assembly and integration work. The CORE frames, which are positioned directly in front of condenser coils on v-coil-style, air-cooled chillers and other air-cooled condensers and radiators, can also be field-installed on existing equipment.
The CORE system joins the company’s product line alongside its existing external frame-based pre-cooling system, which will now be known as HALO™. Both HALO and CORE leverage the company’s unparalleled technical foundation and proprietary technologies, based on 300+ U.S. installations, including dozens of data centers and Peak+’s operational knowledge base with millions of real-world data points.
The company’s systems enable customers to solve for failing external CFDs, reduce peak PUE to increase IT yield, protect condenser coils, mitigate hot air recirculation and chiller derate, increase chiller peak cooling capacity by up to 40% and reduce chiller refrigerant compressor energy by up to 50%.
All of the company’s systems are proudly designed, engineered and manufactured in the U.S., and Peak+ deploys its own team to commission every site. Customers can order the CORE system directly from the company or coordinate with most major HVAC OEMs.
About Peak+
Peak+ designs, engineers, manufactures and commissions innovative, robust and precise adiabatic pre-cooling technology to pre-cool air before it crosses the condenser coils of air-cooled equipment. The company’s systems result in significant energy savings, reduced peak energy demand, extended equipment life and reduced carbon footprint. With robust precision, its systems optimize the achievement of target cooled dry bulb temperatures in front of condenser coils, using advanced algorithms, real-time data, optimized controls and rapid-response, U.S.-based supply chain.
